A Texas Legacy Since 1949
A Texas Legacy Since 1949
Our story didn't start with a website; it started with a trowel in 1949. My grandfather founded Tolman Floor Company in Dallas, laying the groundwork for a multi-generational Texas institution. Over the decades, the family craft branched into several different companies across North Texas.
As the years passed, many of those original companies retired and closed their doors, marking the end of an era. LDC Floors was founded to ensure that 75 years of “Tolman-taught” expertise didn’t disappear. As a 4th-generation installer, I’ve modernized those foundational family secrets for today’s most advanced decorative concrete finishes, and we now bring them to homes and businesses in both Houston & Katy, right back where it all began.
We don't just use modern machines; we use generational wisdom. While others are learning the trade from a manual, we are applying techniques that have been refined since the 1960s—when our family was among the first in Texas to master the early art of acid-staining. We’ve seen the industry change, but our standard for a 'Tolman-quality' finish remains the same.
